Use case

For NSE and NIFTY paper trading

AKQX offers charts, backtests and paper trading for NIFTY 50, BANKNIFTY and NSE stocks, each with its own paper wallet. It does not offer real-money execution for Indian equities, and order-flow views for them are limited and in beta. It is for learning and testing ideas, not for placing live Indian orders.

The problem

Someone curious about algorithmic trading on Indian markets usually has no safe place to try it. Writing a rule is one thing. Seeing how it would have behaved, and then how it behaves on live prices, without risking money, is another.

Paper trading fills that gap, but only if it behaves like the real thing: finite margin, costs, a separate balance per market. Otherwise the practice teaches the wrong lessons.

It also helps to be clear about what a tool does not do. If your goal is automated live trading of Indian stocks, it matters to know early that AKQX does not provide it.

The workflow, step by step

  1. Open the chart. NIFTY 50, BANKNIFTY and NSE stocks are charted, with split view of up to four charts, drawing tools and price alerts. A free preview works for 30 minutes a day with no account.
  2. Write a rule. Describe entries, exits and risk as explicit numbers. Write it in a sentence first.
  3. Backtest it. Run it on historical data with estimated costs. The research database holds about 41.5 million (4.15 crore) candles from public exchange and broker feeds across crypto and Indian markets. Indian-market results need at least 30 trades, since higher timeframes there produce fewer signals.
  4. Paper trade it. Run it on live prices with virtual capital in the Indian equities paper wallet, kept apart from the crypto wallet so the results stay readable.
  5. Compare and learn. Look at the drift between the backtest and the paper run, and at which guards tripped, before drawing any conclusion.

What AKQX provides for this

  • Charts, backtests and paper trading for NIFTY 50, BANKNIFTY and NSE stocks, with a separate paper wallet.
  • Account connection through the Brokers page. Order-flow views for Indian equities are limited and in beta.
  • The same scorecard, guards and reports as for crypto.

What AKQX does not do

  • No real-money execution for Indian equities, and this is not a temporary gap in one integration.
  • An index such as NIFTY 50 is a number, not something you can trade directly. Real exposure comes through futures, options or funds, each with its own costs and lot sizes.
  • Market data comes from third parties, may be delayed or inaccurate, and may not be copied or redistributed.
  • AKQX is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst and gives no investment advice. Rules for algorithmic trading differ and change, so check what your regulator and broker currently allow.

Stated plainly. AKQX is software only. It is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst and gives no investment advice. Backtest and paper-trading results are simulated and do not guarantee future results. Crypto products are unregulated and can be highly risky, and there may be no regulatory recourse for any loss. See the risk disclosure.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Treating paper profit as money made.
  • Testing an index rule as if the index itself were tradable, ignoring the instrument you would really use.
  • Reusing parameters tuned on a calm index on a more volatile one such as BANKNIFTY.
  • Skipping the paper stage because the backtest looked good.

Questions about nse paper trading

Can I trade NIFTY or Indian stocks live with AKQX?

No. For Indian equities AKQX offers charts, backtests and paper trading only. Real execution exists for crypto, through your own exchange account.

Is the paper trading realistic?

It applies estimated costs and broker-style margin to live prices. Fills are simulated, so it narrows the gap between simulation and reality without closing it.

Is NIFTY order flow available?

Order-flow views for Indian equities are limited and still in beta, because tick-level data is not equally available there.

Do I need a broker account?

Not to chart, backtest or paper trade. An account connection is available through the Brokers page if you choose to add one.
