Strategy families

Strategy families, written as testable rules

Each page here describes one family of trading strategy as a set of rules: the logic, the settings it hides, what AKQX provides for it, and how to backtest it honestly. They are educational. None recommends a strategy, none claims one is profitable, and every example uses made-up numbers.

How to use these pages

Treat each as a worked example of turning an idea into rules you can test. The point is not that any of these families works. The point is that, written as explicit numbers, each one can be counted, costed and either rejected or taken further. Where AKQX provides a ready strategy, a building block, or nothing at all for a family, the page says which.

ICT and SMC

  • SMT liquidity divergenceTwo correlated markets disagree at a swing point. The rules, the hidden settings, and how to test it.
  • TDO and PSP setupsAKQX's own True Day Open and PSP definitions combined into one rule set, and how to test it.
  • ICT and SMC order blocksOrder blocks are only testable once every choice in the definition is written down. How to do that.

Price action

  • Donchian channel breakoutBuy a new N-period high, sell a new N-period low. One setting does most of the work, so test it properly.
  • Opening range breakoutTrade a break of the first minutes' high or low. The window length decides everything, so fix it before testing.
  • Breakout and retestWait for price to return to a broken level before entering. A retest has to be defined in numbers to be tested.
  • Wedge patternEasy to see afterwards, hard to define in advance. What a wedge rule needs before it can be backtested.

What these pages are not

They are not recommendations, signals or advice. AKQX is software only and is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst. ICT and SMC concepts are discretionary frameworks taught by many independent people, and AKQX is not affiliated with any of them. Results from backtests and paper trading are simulated and never guarantee future results.
